We source our grapes from some of the finest vineyards in California. We seek out locations in renowned growing areas that offer ideal conditions to allow the grapes to achieve their full potential.
We believe in the power of love, hard work and a well timed joke.
Our wines are big, bold, fruit forward and given extended time in the barrel to allow for the maturation process to work its magic. The end result is a beautifully smooth and complex integration of fruit and oak.

After a successful career as a corporate winemaker, Mark Ferguson decided that the best way to create a heritage for his children, and to teach them about his profession and his passion, was to start a small boutique winery that focused on quality over quantity. To engrain them into every step of the process so that they would be equipped to not only know the sights and smells of winemaking but be in tune with the rythyms and the beauty of the art of winemaking. And hopefully, someday, maybe, they will pick up the reigns of this small family business that bears their name.
We want to honor our entire family, so our logo is a modern adaptation of the family crest of the Ferguson clan in Scotland. The image of the bee and thistle are emblematic of the Ferguson clan motto being "dulcius ex asperis" or "sweeter after difficulty". After many difficult hurdles in life to get to this sweet stage, this motto rings just as true today as it has for ages prior.
In 2015 Mark and Kim Ferguson, with the help of their two children, made a half ton of Clarksburg Petite Sirah in their garage as a proof of concept for their small batch wine company. One day when tasting the wine during fermentation, Mark said "Boomshakalaka! That is good!" And the legend was born.
Commercial production began in 2016

Commercial production began in 2016 with 2 tons of Petite Sirah from the same vineyard and 2 tons of Zinfandel from a mountain top vineyard on the far Western side of the Adelaida District in Paso Robles.
In the years since, the offerings have grown to include a Barbera from a hill top vineyard in the Shendoah Valley of Amador county and a California Red Wine Blend that is a composite of the three wines.
